Positive: Very beautiful, spacious and comfortable room. Great shower with high water pressure. Nice shared terrace and living room/kitchen. Very conveniently located. Would definitely recommend (and return ourselves)
Negative: To us, it wasn't clear that you have to request breakfast in advance (given that it is called a bed & breakfast and the instructions just said that breakfast was served from 8 onwards). It would be good to include that in the description and ask guests if they want breakfast or not. It wasn't a big deal as you have access to a kitchen and there are several bakeries and supermarkets nearby, so we just prepared our own breakfast.

Positive: Excellent location in centre of Bordeaux above pedestrian busy street. Owner Pierre was exceptionally helpful and property was cleaned every day.. On tram route accessing every part of Bordeaux.
Negative: Maybe instructions for opening the outside door from within be written in different languages?

Positive: The apartment was clean, spacious, and decorated beautifully. The bed was very comfortable. The location is excellent as it is in close proximity to local sights and shopping. There was scaffolding outside the premises, and workmen renovating the property next door. This did not affect our stay. Great communication from the proprietor. We had a fabulous stay, thank you, Pierre.

Positive: Location is outstanding, the apartment is tastefully arranged, commodities as expected, and regular cleaning appreciated. Interface with landlord was swift and efficient
Negative: Unfortunately there were works in 2 different close places during our stay, and except for a very peaceful weekend, the noise started …. Rather early.

Positive: The property was in the perfect location. Tram B line was along the pedestrian mall and the Grand Théâtre stop less than 100 metres away. 3 minute walk to Place de la Comédie and 5 minute walk to the Tourist Information Centre. Pierre, the owner, was there at the beginning of our stay to answer any questions and give us recommendations for restaurants nearby, as well as sites to visit. He also came by at checkout and allowed us to leave our luggage in the vestibule for a few extra hours so that we could get in some last-minute sightseeing before departure. Large, beautiful room with a terrace outside the patio door. Very comfortable bed with luxurious linens. Kitchen with all the facilities at guests' disposal. Would definitely book again when we return to Bordeaux .

Positive: Beautiful apartment in an excellent location. It looked as if it could have been featured in a design magazine.
Negative: We rented the two bedroom suite and the one bedroom room together (the entire apartment). The one bedroom apartment (Bank d'Arguin) was covered in a thick layer of dust. After two days of sneezing, I removed the decorative panel covering the radiators in the room and found an absolutely appalling amount of dust and cobwebs covering the radiator and floor underneath. It was clearly a very, very, very long time of neglect that lead to the amount of dust that had been allowed to accumulate. Likewise, the picture frames and floor lamps were covered in a very thick layer of dust. The final night I had such a strong allergic reaction that I was forced to sleep in another room (luckily there were two single beds in another member of our groups room). Additionally, despite being told that we would have the entire apartment to ourselves the owner and a cleaner (who was cleaning another apartment) repeatedly entered our apartment without so much as knocking. Apparently, they use the entryway to the apartment for storage and cleaning supplies. We would have happily allowed them to access it, but letting themselves in without knocking first seemed unnecessarily intrusive (especially since the adjoining door to the apartment itself could not be closed as the wooden doorjamb was swollen and deformed). Why not just knock first out of courtesy? Finally the kitchen, while very well appointed, was not very clean, as the appliances and tables were covered in smudges and streaks that look like someone had wiped things down but not really cleaned. The freezer was basically useless because it was full of ice and needed to be defrosted It was really disappointing because the apartment would have been magnificent if it had been properly maintained and cleaned, but overall our experience was not good, especially considering the price we paid.
